heART of Seeing

In many spiritual traditions, the lotus is perhaps one of the most  celebrated flowers that there is. It is a powerful image and is considered a sacred flower.  I am drawn to the lotus flower not only for their beauty but also for their symbolism. “The lotus is the most beautiful flower, whose petals open one by one. But it will only grow in the mud. In order to grow and gain wisdom, first you must have the mud — the obstacles of life and its suffering. … The mud speaks of the common ground that humans share, no matter what our stations in life. … Whether we have it all or we have nothing, we are all faced with the same obstacles: sadness, loss, illness, dying and death. When I was a kid, looking through stained windows or windows that are blurred by raindrops sparked off my fascination with ghosts, witches and all things supernatural. I will try to look for my own reflection in the window till I recognised myself staring into my own eyes.   These days, looking through them again, conveys different emotions and feelings, quite often transporting me to another time and place   Let me in ... I'm hungry Where are you? Now, this still gives me the creeps! Don't be so familiar and so much into details. Keep people dreaming. Close the window, and make them wonder ~ Celine Dion
